The TuVida Way

The TuVida Way is a new concept, launched as part of our new 2024-27 strategy. The TuVida Way is not what we do, it’s how we do it. It’s about our culture, the way we work, and the way we treat people. It underpins our approach and how we work with others, across all areas of our organisation.

Our commitments

In our new strategy we developed a list of commitments that will inform our work over the next three years. These commitments have been developed based on the feedback from our consultation and are linked to each of our four key pillars of work - our services, people, partnerships and business.

The TuVida Way runs through these commitments and informs our approach to each one.

Our services

  • Everything we do is about the people we support.
  • We will do what we are good at and strive to do it to the best of our ability.
  • We will focus on improvement, not perfection.
  • When things don’t work, we will stop doing them.
  • We will never compromise on quality or our values.
  • Growing our services means we can support more people who need our help.

Our people

  • Our people are our family. We always put family first.
  • We place values, behaviours, and life experience over skills and qualifications.
  • We want people to embrace The TuVida Way, see past the challenges, and enjoy the reward of seeing a smile on the faces of the people we support.
  • Our people will act with integrity and in line with our values. When this doesn’t happen, we will call it out.
  • When we are faced with tough decisions, we will be led by our values.
  • We will employ the best people available, from all walks of life.

Our partnerships

  • We want to partner with those who share our values.
  • The number of people who need our services is increasing, so we must work with others to support them. We cannot do it all ourselves.
  • Our knowledge and expertise can influence positive change.
  • We are not afraid to challenge the status quo and disrupt the system when we know things can be better.
  • We also know we are not always the experts.
  • We will always consider partnering with organisations to safeguard vital services.

Our business

  • We will always work to maintain our financial sustainability.
  • We will be led by people, not by policies. Policies underpin how we work, but not our approach.
  • We want to be judged on how we respond when things don’t go to plan.
  • We will strive to be more efficient through our systems and technology, but never place the quality of our services at risk.
