Our history

TuVida grew from an aim to offer people in local communities the best and most appropriate care and support.

Formerly known as Carers Trust East Midlands, in the late 2010s the organisation steadily increased in size and reach, overseeing more trusts and providing valuable care services in more and more areas across the UK.

The organisation continued to recognise the need to be a full member of local communities wherever it operated, delivering high quality professional care and support. However, it recognised that operating under so many different names was confusing for the very people it aimed to support.

So in 2020, the organisation fully rebranded and launched one name across all of its local offices: TuVida.

This new name and approach would enable the organisation and all of its offices to reap the best of both worlds — combining the resources and scope of a large organisation with skills and knowledge that are only gained by taking account of local issues.

Our people

TuVida currently operates from a number of hubs and offices across the UK, with over 400 members of staff working to provide much-needed services for carers and people being cared for – both at the homes of clients and out in the community.

The charity is overseen by an Executive Leadership Team including Chief Executive Officer, Gareth Howells.
