Gloria cares for her husband, Christopher, and is one of the many carers that we have supported in Herefordshire.

TuVida has been successful in securing the contract to provide information and advice to unpaid carers in Herefordshire.

The contract for the service went out to tender in the Autumn of 2024 and we are delighted to have been awarded the contract to run the service for the next two years, with the option of a further year. TuVida has been running the existing carers advice service in the area, known as Carer Links, since 2022 after our merger with Crossroads Together.

The focus of the service will be to provide practical support and advice to both adult and young carers living in Herefordshire, and to link unpaid carers into other local services that can help them.

We will be working hard in the coming weeks to ensure that the service is set up to deliver the new contract requirements ready for an official relaunch in late Spring.

TuVida Chief Executive Gareth Howells said: “Carer Links is a well-established and recognised service in the area that has helped many hundreds of unpaid carers to access the support they need.

“We know there are many more unpaid carers that need our help and support. Through our continued partnership with Herefordshire Council, we are committed to continually improving the service we offer and reaching more unpaid carers across the county over the coming years.”
