A special free event highlighting the range of services available to unpaid carers living in Herefordshire will take place at the Kindle Centre on Monday 9th June 2025.

The event will run from 10am – 2pm and will feature market stalls, talks and workshops of interest to unpaid carers, including:

  • Talks by Councillor Carole GandyCabinet Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing, John Burgess, Commissioning Manager at Herefordshire Council and Gareth Howells, CEO at TuVida (Herefordshire Council’s commissioned carer support service)
  • Legal services for carers with Richard Green, Hereford Wills
  • Complementary therapy taster sessions with Marsha Arnold
  • The Kindle Singers Community Choir
  • Short film about Carer Links
  • Stalls from local charities, services and organisations

A free buffet lunch and tea and coffee will be provided.

The event marks the relaunch of Herefordshire Carer Links, a dedicated support service for unpaid carers run by the leading charity TuVida on behalf of Herefordshire Council. A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

The event takes place on the first day of Carers Week – an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring.
