Services across TuVida celebrated Carers Rights Day on Thursday 23 November with a series of events. Carers Rights Day is about raising awareness of caring, helping to identify carers and signposting them to information, advice and support.

West Sussex

Our West Sussex service hosted a coffee morning for local carers with the local Carers Health Team who gave a talk on carers wellbeing along with free blood pressure monitoring and healthy eating advice. Carers Support West Sussex provided information about the 8-point support and advice they offer to carers.

Essex

Our Essex team Support Worker Supervisor, Arif, attended the launch of Redbridge Council’s new Carers Strategy at Ilford Central Library on Carers Rights Day. Arif is pictured with Irfan Suleman, Strategic Commissioner for Redbridge Council.

Bridgend Carers Wellbeing

Bridgend County Borough Council hosted a special flag raising event and illuminated Couty Hall to help raise awareness of unpaid carers in the community.

Our Bridgend Carers Wellbeing service attended a special Carers Rights Day market place event at Bridgend Carers Centre on Weds 22 November and an afternoon tea party on Carers Rights Day at the Bridgend Dementia Hub.

Young Carers Notts

And in Nottinghamshire, our Young Carers Notts service launched two new youth groups for local young carers!
